Brief narrative Israeli military uproots 130 trees, levels lands in Hebron [Source: Shehab News]

Occupied Hebron (QNN)- The Israeli army on Friday uprooted over 130 trees and leveled lands in Beit Ummar in northern Hebron in preparation for the expansion of the illegal settlement of Karmei Tzur.

Activists Muhammad Awad said Israeli forces uprooted over 130 fruitful trees and leveled five dunums of land owned by the families of Saeed Ba’ran and Sabarneh in order to expand the illegal settlement.

The settlement of Karmi Tzur was established in year 1984 to the north of the West Bank city of Hebron, on lands originally owned by Palestinians from Halhul and Beit Ummar towns. Today, the settlement occupies a total land area of 420.000 square meters, where the built-up area constitutes almost half of the settlement’s area and houses a total of 713 Israeli colonizers.
