The victims of these acts include the over 800,000 Kurds, Turkomens, Assyrians and others subject to the brutal “Anfal” campaigns, demographic-manipulation policies and other victims of housing and property dispossession during the Ba`thist regime. Estimates of the Iraqi displaced have risen since the 2003 war and occupation, now exceeding one million.
