100,000 people in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were displaced by the collapse of the Sardoba dam on 1 May 2020. As of July 2020, according to the Uzbekistan government, 16,000 people were still in termporary shelter awaiting permanent accommodation. See attached article for more information. | ||||||||||
