Brief narrative

More than 400 people who had lived on their land for 47 years were forcibly evicted in the middle of the night, their homes and property destroyed, by unidentified people who were accompanied by police. The eviction was carried out on the request of a white farmer who had recently gained a certificate of title for the land. The certificate was issued without consideration of those already living on the land.
