The survey on Land and the Right to Food by the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food is now available in English, French, and Spanish.

This survey seeks to gather insights and experiences from a wide range of stakeholders — including small-scale food producers, Indigenous Peoples, pastoralists, fishers, youth, civil society organizations, academics, and others — on the deep and evolving links between land rights and the right to food.

Through this survey, the Special Rapporteur aims to:

  • Gather testimonies and evidence from those directly affected by land-related injustices;
  • Identify good practices for sharing territories and resolving land disputes;
  • Understand the human rights impacts of current land governance and investment trends; and
  • Develop concrete recommendations to States, international organizations, and private actors
